Not doing so good!

I've just finished my second serve of ice cream for the evening and albeit "light" I was already at 45 pro points for the day BEFORE I decided it was a good idea to have a complete binge out on ice cream.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

I plan all day what I'm going to eat and how I'm going to eat and what I'm going to do when I've reached goal weight etc etc but I go ahead and SABOTAGE myself and my efforts.

I just don't get it. I just don't get why I do this to myself.

WeightWatchers take six!

After many a month of procrastination,  I have finally made the move to rejoin WeightWatchers.

It took a bit of coordination to get myself to the lunchtime meeting today, but after few unplanned excursions with my daughter I managed to get to the meeting, rejoin and enjoy the awesome motivating vibe that only a WW meeting can bring!

I purchased a tracker, because I'm not yet in a position to sign up to the e-tools, so I'm going to give old fashioned tracking with a pen and paper a go!

This time I'm not going to tell any of my real life friends what I'm doing.  All of the other times (count them six!) I mouthed off to any and everyone that I was doing WW.  When I made the decision to rejoin I knew that to really make this time count, I had to change my approach.  So the first thing I thought of was to not tell everybody.

So my personal goal is to wait until I have lost 15kg and then I will tell people what I'm doing.  I figure by that milestone I may lose a bit of mo-jo and telling everyone that I've lost 15kg using WW, but I've got another 22.5 kilos to go.  I think that that would give me another booster.

The following is a list of personal goals as of today:

1.  5% = a weight loss of 5.37 kilos and would bring my weight to 102.13kg
2. #99 - to get into the double digits! = a weight loss of 8.5 kilos and would bring my weight to 99kg
3. 10% = a weight loss of 10.7 kilos and would bring my weight to 96.75kg
4. 15% = a weight loss of 16.1 kilos and would bring my weight to 91.37kg
5. 20% = a weight loss of 21.5 kilos and would bring my weight to 86kg
6. 25% = a weight loss of 26.8 kilos and would bring my weight to 80.6kg
7. 30% = a weight loss of 32.2 kilo and would bring my weight to 75.25kg
8. 35% + GOAL = a weight loss of 37.6 kilos and would bring my weight to 69.8kg
9. LIFETIME = to maintain my weight between 68kg - 72kg

Lunch challenge update

Well I'm very happy to report that my self imposed lunch challenge has been going great.

I stopped doing a daily update just because I don't have enough hours in the day.

It was a challenging week seeing as it was my boss-of-ten-years last week of work so there were a couple of lunch dates to contend with.

Luckily both of the eating lunch out excursions were paid for so my wallet did really great this week.

I made sure to take packed snacks to work for both morning and afternoon tea and just left out the main part of my lunch on those days.

I also discovered a fabulously delicious addition to a lunchbox regular, my faithful friend "yoghurt". I added a handful of frozen blueberries into the container and "voila". They just make yoghurt that little bit more divine!

On tuesday a supplier that I work closely with shouted the office two big platters of subway. Awesome! On that particular day I was feeling rather famished and had eaten the majority of my lunch by 11am. (my excuse is that us in Nz have just come off daylight savings time so my stomach was still adjusting).

Next week I have a planned Lunch date on Friday. It's with one of my girlfriends so I'll encourage her to pack a lunch and we can make the most of the end of the beautiful weather by enjoying an outdoorsy picnic together.

Day 3 and I'm still smiling!!!!

Here's my gorgeous lunch for today

Today I toasted a wholemeal pita pocket and spread some glorious chilli and lime hummus on it, followed by shaved ham and some sliced radishes.

I had my raw vege medley with favorite dipping sauce and wholewheat crackers and tasty cheese.

For a snack I had wasabi peas, chilli peas, spicy broad beans and roasted almonds.

Fabulous!!!

Here's my delish lunch for today:

1. Pottle of Fresh and Fruity Apricot yoghurt
2. Wholemeal pita pocket with hummus and ham
3. Wasabi peas, spicy broad beans, almonds and pistachio nuts
4. Radish, broccoli, capsicum and cherry tomatoes with my "oh-so-delish" coriander, ginger and lime dipping sauce.

My work mate was totally impressed and tried out the raw vege and dipper... and she actually enjoyed it!. I think I have a convert!!

A lunch a day keeps the chubby at bay

I'm in the throes if trying a little experiment. I've decided to make my lunch every day for the next 21 working days.

Today was my first day and herr's my delicious lunch.

A ham, hummus and jalapeƱo relish tortilla
A pottle of Fresh n Fruity apricot yoghurt
Cherry tomatoes, baby capsicum and radish with coriander, lime and ginger dipping sauce
A pottle of chick peas with ground pepper and rice bran oil

It was great! I had as much fun making it as I did eating it.

I've been inspired by another blogger whose name I will insert here when I figure out how to do that on my phone.

Lets see how this little experiment of mine goes.

Weekly summary Saturday 26.02.12 - Friday 3.03.11

Here is my first weekly summary for 2012

Saturday 26.02.12
Today I woke up super early for a Saturday. You see I had booked myself in for a much overdue pedicure. My poor tootsies hadn't had any TLC for far too long, they actually had the same polish in them from the last pedi which was in Australia on the 12th of Jan! Argh! Terrible stuff.

So I moseyed on down to the town centre. I was very early so I went across the road to a fabulous cafe and grabbed myself a chai latte.

The barista had accidentally used cows milk so made me another one with soya milk and I got a free chai for my beauty therapist. SCORE!

My pedicure was fantastic, made even better by the Chai and massaging chair.  Love my little haven!

My big mission for the day was The Relay for Life. So once I got my feet in tiptop walking condition I got on the road and got myself to city college. The next 24 hours was a bit of a blur. A lot of it was spent walking around and around a track in an effort to raise money and awareness for cancer.

Sunday 26th February 2012
The Relay finished up at 12pm, and after a very quick and efficient pack down we were out of there and on our way home.  My daughter had accompanied me at the Relay so we were both as tired as each other.  Sleeping is not really something you get a lot of at the Relay for Life.    We both jumped into the shower as soon as we got home and then straight into bed.  I slept off and on for the rest of the day/night and it was true bliss!

Monday 27th February 2012
I woke up so sick!  Both of my eyes were sore, like I was going to get styes in them, and my head was throbbing like I've never known it.  So I call in sick to work and spent the day trying to heal my body, mind and spirit.

Tuesday 28th February 2012
In Whanganui this is Pakaitore Day  and is a very special day in for the iwi of Whanganui.  I got my still-sick butt out of bed really early and got on with the day.

Wednesday 29th February 2012
Today is my birthday!  Yes, that's right, I'm a Leap Year baby!   I had a completely spoilt day at work and home and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thursday 1 March 2012
Today I just got on with my work, it's been really busy for months  and months and doesn't seem to show any sign of letting up.  This day was one of the first that I didn't have to meet with someone, so I used my time very wisely and got a lot of things done and out of the way.

Friday 2 March 2012
Today was very much the same as yesterday.  I haven't fully recovered from whatever illness plagued me on Monday, but at least I'm on the road to recovery.  This weekend I'm just going to chill out and rest.  Maybe do a spot of cleaning!  Lols!
